The Tour de Broads through Reedham

On Sunday 21st August the annual Tour de Broads cycle sportive will be pedalling their way through Reedham and stopping at the village hall for refreshments. It is anticipated there will be around 150 cyclists stopping at the village hall, and about 350 more just cycling through the village. They will be there between 08:40 and 11:30, all cycling in small groups and enjoying the countryside views.

Please note, this is not a race and there are no closed roads. Riders will be cycling along the Freethorpe Road toward Reedham, will turn into  Pottles Lane, Witton Green, The Havaker, then onto Station Road, along Riverside then leave the village on Mill Rd.  Maps of the route and route through Reedham can be found below.

Sadly, Reedham is historically a village where the signage has been removed or tampered with in the past. The event has been approved by Broadland & South Norfolk Safety Advisory Group and GYBC have been advised. The organisers have applied for and received permission from Norfolk Highways to place the signage along the roads.

Signs will be erected from Thursday 18th August. All signage will be removed by the end of Monday 22nd.

The event is fully supported, risk assessed & insured and this year the charity partner is Nelsons Journey.

It would be great if Reedham could support the cyclists on their 100 mile ride – all raising funds and awareness for a worthwhile charity.
